Carolina Reaper Red Seeds
The most super hot chili pepper in the world!
For months it had already been rumored that the Carolina Reaper would soon be the hottest chili in the world.
This leads to heated debates among chili lovers worldwide. After a media attack by grower Ed Currie, the Guinness Book of World Records announced a new "hottest chili pepper in the world" in November 2013 and ended the debate about the hottest pepper in the world.
Averaging 1,569,300 scoville units, with an individual score of over 2.2 million Soville units, the Carolina Reaper became the hottest chili in the world. The previous world record holder Trinidad Moruga Scorpion was overthrown. Trinidad Moruga Scorpion peppers averaged 1.2 million Scoville units and up to 2,009,231 in individual peppers.
Carolina Reaper was created from a Pakistani Naga and a red Habanero type from St. Vincent. This is an extremely hot chili pepper with a fruity taste. Be careful when handling these seeds and peppers.
Try to maintain a constant temperature of 28 - 32 degrees for good germination.
For a good start, note:
- Many of the pepper seeds being tropical varieties need increased heat, humidity as well as darkness to germinate.
- The average germination temperature is 25 to 30℃.
- If the temperature is lower, they will not germinate and may be damaged.
- The seeds should be planted at a depth of no more than 0.5cm, in a light substrate and regularly sprayed with water to maintain moisture.
